I find this self portrait very endearing Smith portrays herself with a certain raw harshness and an element of self scrutiny through the aggressive bold pencil lines. I   really just like the identifiable signature style of the artist, the messy lines, the slightly birdlike qualities of the facial feautures a sense of vibrating energy in the lines.
